Forgotten course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 23, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Still have some of the tee pads?
Still has some of the baskets?

Cons:

Not many tree's
Missing some tee's and some tee signs
Missing baskets

Other Thoughts:

While playing the new course in Ponca City, a local told me the baskets had been pulled from this course. Because it was on my way I stopped by to see what was up.

Some construction has baskets 1, 9, 8 pulled out of the ground. All 3 baskets are still out there, but put off to the side. Holes 2 and 9 tee boxes have been removed along with the tee signs. You can actually see the tee pads and basket 8 over between 8 and 9's fairways dumped there.

Basket for hole 3 is totally missing, tee box and sign for #4 is totally gone, they built a rec center and didn't put those back in or move them.

I used the UDisc app map to play the course, I just used tree's or the electric poll and sewar manhole cover as targets for the 4 missing baskets and tee'd off from where the apps said the tee was.

Even if those holes were not damaged, this course is still not worth going out of the way to play. Several longer holes with no tree's or obsticles, not even a family friendly course.

I gave this courses .5 discs only because there are 5 baskets out there, you could still use this area for practice.

Open field discing 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 12, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course has adequate signage and great new Discatcher baskets. Navigation is logical.
This course has length to it for a 9 holer.
Holes 6-8 are the best holes here and offer the only trees to navigate around on the whole course.
Also there is a convenience store with a casino on site.

Cons:

Short and narrow tee pads don't offer for a long run up, and that is needed on some holes because of the length. Wind will definitely be a factor here because this course is basically a huge field with 9 baskets. Summer time heat will be brutal here as well because there isn't a whole lot of shade to be found. Holes 1-5 & 9 are all pretty much the same, wide open with varying distances. This really gets boring after a while. Seems like deja vu in spots.
There are no other amenities here(other than the convenience store) so prepare accordingly.
No alternate pin placements to mix up the course either.

Other Thoughts:

If you like a grip and rip style of course that will stretch out your arm and doesn't have many obstacles then you will love this course. If you want something with challenging lines then skip this one. This isn't a destination course by any means but if you want to bag another course or want to test out that new driver then you might want to play this course.
Overall this course is just too repetitive for my liking and didn't offer much in the way of variety. If they were to plant some trees on holes 1-5 & 9 it would make this course a little better in my opinion.
