Great Course in the South of Germany 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 15, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Set in an over 100 year old park.
Has 18 Holes, (14 always playable). 18 Baskets only on tournaments and the weeks before. (in 2014 were there at least 12 weeks all baskets set).
Course is more a technical course than a wide open longhitter-special.
There are pro tees on some holes, (look out for the locals, which tees they are using) what makes the course even more spectacular.
All signage is up-to-date.
On main sign at parking lot, you´ll find a qr-code for a quick course info link.
There are quite a few water hazards to cross. Most, if not crossed, are shallow and easy to get the disc back.
Lovely beergarden between hole 1 and 2 with tasty stuff. (you can come back later, if you feel thirsty)
Nice locals around, and always around. :)
Practice Basket between Hole 1 and 7.
For the younger kids are some very spectacular playgrounds in the park.
Most dogs are on leash and park visitors know

Cons:

Some Tees are still not redone. Most tees get a new top layer to ensure better grip and a even surface.
This sport is new to most family players. Some of them criss-cross holes and play slow. Avoid sunday afternoons.

Great course with plenty of variety 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 29, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

1. Beautiful location
2. Excellent course design
3. Suitable for beginners and advanced
4. Friendly local players
5. Established club with over 100 players
6. Beer garden

Cons:

1. Only 14 holes (apart from for competitions)
2. Some of the mats need repairing
3. It's a town park, so must be mindful of the public

Other Thoughts:

Late afternoons, evenings and weekends are when most of the regular players play. I've played this course over 100 times and enjoy it every time.

Decent free-play course in a beautiful location 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 28, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course provides a decent variety of challenges, from forested to clear, combined with shallow water hazards and great doglegs. This is one of the few courses that can boast
a full set of 18 baskets within Germany. Use of the course is free, and the locals are friendly.

Cons:

A few of the hole locations have been altered, and the map has not been altered to reflect this change. The layout is very patchwork, making it difficult to find the next hole if you're unfamiliar with the course. The basket has been removed from hole 14 (if I remember correctly), requiring re-use of a basket from a previous hole. Several of the tees were missing their identifying markers.

Other Thoughts:

Recommended if you're within an hour drive away....it was three hours away for me, so I probably won't be heading back any time soon.
