Kind of Like Putt Putt Disc Golf 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 19, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Its great for beginners

Its great for families with kids

Its good for people with disabilities

The holes are all short enough that you can play with just about any type of disc. My nephew and I did pretty decent with a couple cheap dollar store frisbee discs.

Its only 6 holes so it does not take long play.

It serves as a great practice course before you take on the main course. It reminds me a lot of practice putting pads on ball golf courses that you can use before you actually play the course.

Cons:

I've played this course 3 times and there has never been anyone in the way but there is a potential for it with a couple picnic tables on the course with permanent charcoal grills near them.

Other Thoughts:

I'm not the best disc golfer in the world so having this course next to the much harder main course helps me straighten out my throw before I get to my bigger discs in the heavily wooded main course situated right next to this ADA course. I believe that having this course has helped save me from losing a disc in the woods by getting the rust out before I hit the obstacles.

I like also that the people from my families annual camping (which is also in the Brighton Recreation Area) trip have tried this course and play it regularly and some have even started to play the larger course.

ADA Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 17, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Aesthetic- plays through a picnic area by a pavillion near a lake. course is ADA accessible by all accounts.

Teesigns- Decent. the course is very basic so the teesigns match that basic nature.

Baskets- in great repair, all baskets are visible from the tees.

Routing and nav- not an issue.

Cons:

Potentially dangerous- if idiots (like me) play this course and are ripping drivers, this course could be very very dangerous as the area is busy with other activities.

grass teepads- fine for the ada aspect, just not my preferred.

Other Thoughts:

I gave this course a "good" rating based on what it is, a six hole ada accessible course. this course isn't as challenging as the main course BUT for what it is, this course is great! It's wonderful that our sport is branching out to ALL people!
