Great Private Course, makes you a smarter player 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 30, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Private
-Great mix of shot variety and difficulty
-Completely unique with a mix of different types of homemade baskets, pin locations, OB and Mandos.
-Course/Landowner was friendly and fun to shoot a round with
-Very challenging with OB and Mandos, makes a player smarter.
-Scenic ridgeline runs along the course, along with a few ponds and creek.
-Play through a horse pasture which was interesting and every so often it let out a big neigh.
-Great mix of high reward/high punishment holes and manageable holes to shave some strokes off.

Cons:

-Played after several days of rain. Was a bit mushy but not too bad, the owner had plans to lay down woodchips/gravel I believe, in areas that needed attention.
-I could see how some holes could get frustrating if OB was repeatedly hit, but was a challenge and different.
-Hard to find negatives, great course

Other Thoughts:

I think I threw every single disc in my bag. Really makes a player think more about shots, disc selection and lines. Some holes have a high level of difficulty and can be rewarding if you get greedy, but can smoke you if you get off track. Really great setup and am happy I was lucky enough to play it. From the owners plans it sounds like this course is only going to improve with time.

Great Technical Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 24, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Very tight lines add challenge to most holes. Theres a wide veriety of distances and a great layout, great people, and beautiful scenery! Playing this course will show you where the holes in your game are.

Cons:

Most tee pads are rubber and work well, but they not as nice as concrete. Half the course is in a horse pasture and your throws have a chance of hitting the land mines the horses leave behind. I have played here many times and it doesn't happen often but well worth playing this course. There are also a couple homemade baskets that don't catch as well as permanent baskets but it adds a challenge for everyone equally.

Other Thoughts:

Best challenging course around!

My favorite course for good reason 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Dec 23, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Private & well maintained. Clean with no trash or crowds. Great mix of unique challenges & distances. Creative use of the property and hole design. Tough but enjoyable layout that forces you to think outside the box and throw ways you may normally not. Several hanging, elevated & a inground basket make for some interesting putts. Beautifully placed at the base of White Oak Mountain with a couple ponds, winding creek, horses & wildlife.

Cons:

A lot of ob, thick cedar trees that like to feed on discs, a couple homemade baskets (not always a con though) & a couple teepads that still need some work. There are 2 shared pads & baskets but they're not really a problem since the course is private....Update: A lot of awesome changes since my original review. Only 1 homemade basket left on original layout (& is there for a reason) Several new basket/pad options, few new holes & less shared baskets. Course is getting better everyday!

Other Thoughts:

As the owner/designer of this course it makes it hard to review. I tried to be fair and honest as I would do when reviewing any other course. Hope this helps and you all get to try it out soon!
