Pros:

I played it on a Friday morning in early Spring, so there weren't any other people on the course (or even in the park, for that matter), but from the other reviews, it sounds like it can get pretty crowded.

For a 6 hole course, the distances of the holes were longer than I had expected. Holes vary between 245 and 428 feet. Similarly surprising, for a 6 hole course, there's a little bit of diversity too, which is great. Holes 5 and 6 are great finishing holes and #1 is a great grip and rip hole.

The course map at the beginning of the course was very descriptive with distances and laid out the flow quite well. Navigation wasn't an issue here.

Cons:

When I played here, it was very muddy. This can be attributed to the massive amount of snow we had this year, but still impacted my round.

The course equipment was minimal. Just baskets and, with the exception of #5, tee signs. It'd be great if concrete or rubber tees were added... or even just some marker in the ground would go a long way.

Other Thoughts:

There's not really much else to add, I think. This is a great course to bag, but it certainly is not a destination course, by any means. I had an enjoyable round, but it was likely because it was my first round in several months and I was very excited to play the first round of 2019.

Confusing and mundane. 2+ years

Pros:

6 hole course set in a very open park in Columbus, WI.

DGA bakets, all in good repair, and mounted well. There are apparently different pin positions, but I didn't see any extra spots while there.

A few mature trees scattered around the property, which helps a little, I suppose.

Decent distance on a few holes, which allows you to air it out a bit. A couple ace run type holes, which is always good for a course like this, which is aimed at lower level players.

The deer pen across the road from hole 6's tee pad is interesting, in that I've never seen one at another course, and it's in the middle of town.

Cons:

Navigation here kind of stinks. It's really just baskets in a field, with a few trees. There's not much intrigue or suspense, outside of holes 5 and 6. The signs are helpful, I guess. There's just no real flow to the course. It kind of makes a circle around the park...kind of.

Very minimal elevation change. It's mostly flat here.

Natural tee pads. Bummer, but at least it leaves open the option of a redesign.

Other Thoughts:

Honestly, this "course" just sucks. Don't waste your time unless you're hanging out next door, or happen to live in town, or are a degenerate course bagger.

Not as easy as you think 2+ years drive by

Pros:

#1 428ft get some practice throws in before you Grip It and and Rip It on this 428 wide open against wind basket. The wind is everything on this hole south facing hole.

a small north walk brings you to #2.

#2 330ft basket has a tree 200ft from tee which makes going at it tough. Playground on right, open on left. Can get a little soggy across the road. If the wind is light there can be weird and surprising wind currents on this hole.

#3 337. Aim for the 4 oaks, basket is behind #2 oak and down a small slope. Trick is picking out the avenue through the trees.

#4 337. We moved this tee from the original spot (parking lot problems). This is behind #4 basket. Not a perfect place but we did what we could.

HOWEVER - going through said oaks is a challenge. Basket is hidden down a hill the first time you play this hole (see map). 2nd toss there is a creek to worry about on the far left.

#5 307 my favorite hole. Creek all the way on the left. You won't lose a disc but could get a wet foot. No bridge across the creek and pin ball trees on the right. Note - Deer pen behind the basket. in the early 1900s there use to be a bear and an elephant.

#6 245. I have a hole in here. Interesting shot, not far but picking out a route is challenging.

Wind again is big here but pretty easy closing hole.

Cons:

It might look a little boring but my scores are higher here for 18 then Beaver Dam and very close to Hiestedt Park in Madison which surprised me when I started playing the course as when we set it up it SEEMED a little easy.

Other Thoughts:

I always play 3 rounds for 18 holes and see my scores get better as I learn what works on each hole. I keep mentioning wind but Columbus is a windy town and the currents in the park make this interesting.

I rated it between a 2.5 and a 3 but perhaps I'm biased.
