Pros:
Plenty of hole variety.
Great views of Lake Erie.
Pristinely manicured and well taken care of.
Easy enough to navigate.
Tee pads were all natural, but were all level when I was here.
Baskets were all in good repair and were up to snuff on quality.
Tee signs were not great, but were at least there and holes were easy enough to figure out without having to walk each and every one or anything.
Cons:
Hole 18 had picnic tables basically mid fairway. No one was using them while I was here, but still could be annoying.
All the elevation changes occur in the first few holes and I wish the one bigger hill that is used on hole 4 was used on other holes that play around that elevation change, but I get why they don't.
Hole 2's basket plays a bit too close to some of the campsites as well.
There were a couple places where the rough could be pretty gnarly, but I didn't find them hard to avoid. Hole 7 and 17 come to mind here.
I also found a couple of the pin locations to be borderline gimmicky. That may not be an issue to some at all, but thought it needed to be said.
Other Thoughts:
I played here on an absolute pristine day and had the course to myself. It was challenging, but also very relaxing. I love that there were short technical holes and also long bomber holes with some well placed trees.
If you are driving between Buffalo and Erie and are not looking for anything too crazy hard, but want to stretch your legs through pristinely manicured fairways, this is the place for you.
