It is wooded golf . A lot of boulders and a good elevation changes. Really enjoyed our round out there . There are a lot of ferns but we had no problems finding our discs . A nice course that needs more traffic . A hidden gem in my opinion.

Signage is confusing . Downloaded the map before you get there as there is no service at the club

Very wooded with a couple of open shots. Signage is great.

Terrain is rough. Lots of rocks, stumps, etc. definitely want to make sure you\'re wearing good shoes and watching your footing.

A couple of holes abut the shooting range. I can imagine that\'s a little scary if people are shooting towards you when you\'re playing.

Rustic New England beauty, old world vibe, moderately hilly but not annoyingly so. Opportunities to throw almost all types of shots throughout the course, difficult but fair for sure. Very friendly members of the fish and game club. When open bar onsite!

I would say signage but I am actually the person creating new signage over the winter.(More on that later). The way the course had to be reconfigured creates a long walk from 17 to 18, but that's what had to be done to save the course. Tee pad issues for sure.

As I said earlier, this course was in danger of closing, but my new friend Stephen stepped up and came up with a plan to save it, it worked! Old holes #1 and #17 are gone, new holes #2, #7, and #13 have been created, and old hole #15 was modified and is now #17. We had a tournament in November and have an indoor putting league on Thursday nights to raise money. This money is going into tee pads, so over the next year that will be a big improvement. I have volunteered to create new tee signs and scorecard. The scorecard is complete and the signs should be installed by spring. Please come check this place out, we could use the support! IMPORTANT, course is closed at 3pm on Wednesdays for trap shooting on the range. All players PLEASE be off the course by then so we can keep the course open at all on Wednesdays! UPDATE! All tee signs are now installed.

Excellent use of space.
Beautiful wooded property, perfect for disc golf.
Awesome elevation changes throughout the course.
Excellent course design.
Unique, fun shots on each hole. Never going to feel like you played that hole before.
Clean, fair lines to the fairways and pins.
Fair greens with some awesome basket placements (lots of pins on top of rocks here, really cool!)
Baskets don't look like much, but they play and catch well.
Bathrooms onsite if club is open.
Scorecards.

Navigation will be a bit hectic first round through. After that won't be an issue. Course just needs a few directional markers to solve this.
Tee signs were out of wack. Redesign issue.
Lack of hole maps and distance signs, though there were a few paper laminated tee signs. Most were on the ground.
No fly pads or concrete boxes.
A few boxes had some roots and ruts in them.
Bring a stool, not much to sit on here.

Royalston Fish & Game (RFG) doesn't amaze you with fancy perks like tee signs, benches and sparkling new baskets.
What will amaze you is the design and layout of the course.
RFG has just about every shot in the game over the length of the course. The downhill throws are worth the uphill walks for sure.
I really took notice with the greens and pin placement here. You have fair clean lines to get to these greens and when you arrive the basket can usually be found on top of rocks, at the drop off of a hill, or both!
This course is a hidden gem. With some directional signs, tee pads and little polish, man this could be one New England's finest places to play. Definitely worth a look and the $5. You are going to love this layout, for sure. Just be mindful of the gun range. Don't get shot, throwing shots!

Good assortment of layouts and use of elevation. Both shorter and tight holes and longer, but still tight holes.

Nice baskets with great placement in rocks or on ledges, making for some very interesting putts.

Has a facility although it has never been open when I was there.

Overall challenging course, which will make you work on many aspects of the game.

The gun range faces a small part of the course although the course is far above where the targets are. All the same when you take 30 seconds to line up a putt and then someone starts blasting right when you are about to go, it takes away from the experience. It is alot more funny when someone smashes a tree at the same time a shot goes off.

The tee pads are pretty shabby, but honestly I didn't mind as much as people in my group did.

So as a flicker, I was pretty happy about this course. Royalston definitely has those turn right shots more than other courses in New England. It has some challenging fair ways which require good aim and a decent arm.

The gun range is really annoying although. Maybe it's just me. I'm not a huge fan of the stuff. I suppose if you were interested in shooting off a couple rounds after a round of disc golf, this would be the place for you.

I have never been there when the facility is open so if decent beer is served there I would bump up the rating easily.

Rubber or concrete tee pads would be a big improvement.

Great cardio workout, which I like but understand some people aren't into throwing after a hike.

Nicely laid out, beautiful setting, challenging technical course. It's easy to find your way on most holes if you can find the first tee.

The tee pads are awful, and I really hope they can be improved. It's still unnerving with guns going off while you're playing. There really ought to be an indication telling you where to find the first tee. We figured it out when we were done.

This course has really seen improvement over the years. They definitely need a sign explaining where to pay (in the mail slot of the small building to the left on the way in) and how to get to the first tee. (Go along the left side past the parking lot until you see a path going in to the woods. For number eight you have to backtrack through the woods - follow the red flags. Except for the tee pads, it's a fun and beautiful course.

We have been working extremely hard for years to bring this course to where it is
We will continue until this place is a polished gem

Tees, signage, kiosk are in the works

The club funded the baskets, the rest has been the efforts of very few DG players to bring another option to an already great DG area

I will bump this course to very good once tees are installed

The uphill feel and difficult holes may stray some from playing. Those up for the challenge will enjoy even in its early stages

The course started as 9 holes and played for a year while the back 9 were being constructed

The club has kept the course free to play to encourage players to check it out. Membership is a low $30 fee and once kiosk is installed the course will transition to $5 a day or membership to club
