Pros:
This course that sits in a wide open medium sized park boasts brand new cement tee pads , Very good Mach 3 baskets , plenty of wide open space for 9 holes that the shortest hole is 310' , and is easy to navigate .Really nice signs . You might have your whole round to yourself , like I did on a mid Sunday afternoon . The park is well maintained , looks like it drains well , and you should be able to play these longer 9 holes is less than 40 minutes . Lots of parking space
Cons:
Okay . If I had the opportunity to meet the course designer , when our hands were about to meet , I might pull it away at the last minute . I think that a crude map was drawn , then the baskets or the tee pads were moved at the last minute . For instance , keeping in mind that this is a wide open windy park with very few trees and shrubbery coming into play , you first hole is a cranker up a hill right next to the driveway leading to the parking lot . A sure possibility of hitting an oncoming car . Get Ready To Rumble . Tee #2 is nestled between large bushes , of which there are only a few in the whole park . The way the pad was poured , righty or lefty forehand throwers will feel their hand disappear into the bush on the follow through of their drive ,a 320' downhill shot with some guarding with a bush and a tree ,,,,,,,Right Next To The Basketball Court . If the men are playing a game and your throw goes about 3 feet past the basket , Get Ready To Rumble ! Again !! The rest of the holes wrap around the park up and down and and counter clockwise . After the first 2 holes , then the course changes from dangerous to confusion . The other 7 tee pads point at an angle away from the basket , as though it was supposed to make another obstacle for your drive , and a tee pad on #4 , I think , which makes your RHFH follow through do the Carbonaro Effect and disappear into a bush sitting right up against you . The course has 1 tee pad & 1 basket per hole , so if the tee pads don't twist you into a pretzel , the bushes will eat your hand . Did I mention WINDY ?
Other Thoughts:
I don't want to make it like I am ripping hard on this course . It is a very clean and well kept park with roomy tee pads ,new baskets and very good signs . I just don't follow what the course designer or parks personnel were thinking . That being said , If the basketball courts aren't in use and no traffic is going into the park , this would be an okay place to introduce the locals to the game . Wide open , can't lose your disc , 9 holes in 40 minutes for 2 , plenty of length off the tee . No destination course but okay for the local occasionals or family picnics
