Pros:

The course is set up on the lawn south of the campus. The baskets are Mach 3's that were all in great shape and caught fine. These have the hole numbers on the top which help you tell what basket to throw at. The flow from hole to hole is pretty simple once you find hole 1. A bit tricky for holes 8 and 9 but with either the map on DGCR or UDisc it's not a problem. The course was in great shape (mowed) when we played in early November. The course will probably never really be busy, if at all. The wind will be your primary challenge here since the course is pretty wide open in most places. There are some trees smattered throughout to add a little bit more of a challenge on a couple holes.

Cons:

Where to start? The goose poop is obnoxious. It is literally everywhere here. You can't avoid it unless there's snow on the ground. Not a design flaw but annoying nonetheless. There are no tee signs or pads. Again not a big deal really for what this course is. But you will need a map if you've never played here before or else it's just basically going to be a safari round for you. It says on here that you need to check in at the front desk to register your vehicle. We did not and had no problems, but it was a Sunday. So I can't really tell you about this. Hole 9 is just a joke. All this open space and this is what you come up with. What a dud to end a round. I mean there is a couple hundred feet of unused space east of hole 1's "tee" and 8's basket. Just not the most well thought out design I'd say.

Other Thoughts:

You can do worse than this course for sure. However you can also do much better. And also very nearby. Twin cities disc golf is just next level compared to anywhere I've been so far. This course is more in line with what most of us are probably used to. It's nine numbered baskets in a field. If you have to play them all like me then by all means have at it here. If you want a fun round just look, literally in any direction, and you'll find something better within a few minutes.

Pros:

Decent baskets
Well maintained grass
(that's it!)

Cons:

Short course, two holes I would expect to get a hole in one on if I played the course at least ten times. I don't think I would want to play it that many times.

No map or any directions to get you to the first tee.

Small tee boxes.

Other Thoughts:

This area has potential to be a decent course. The problem is that every hole is out in the open. Not one basket tucked close to a tree or any obstacles between the tee boxes and baskets on any hole! Might be a good course for someone just beginning, but even newbies would get bored with this course pretty quickly.

Short quick and fun! 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Well maintained college property with high exposure for DG along main road. Nice baskets and good mix of holes designed for newer players but fun putter round for more experienced peeps.

Course has solid flow and makes best use of the land available. Very convenient if attending classes at the college.

Cons:

No marked tees just cut out sod areas with mulch. Once I found hole one it was pretty straight forward to navigate. Actually most of the holes are straight too lol.

A few holes are basically putts/upshots...play here enough and you can brag about having mad aces! Teepad areas could be moved back without issue like hole 9.

Other Thoughts:

Nice little course and another fine addition to the north metro for new players. Easy access off off main roads makes for quick trip and play. Nothing special here but if you like disc golf you cant be mad at another new course being put in!

Pros:

1) Clean, well maintained grounds
2) 9 new baskets
3) Easy navigation
4) Plenty of parking
5) Discs available in the campus bookstore
6) Disc Golf at my Alma Mater! (I'll try to remain unbiased)

Cons:

1) No real challenge, every hole is wide open and flat
2) Some tees are ripped up sod, some are wood-chips and some are a mix, they are also inconsistent sizes.
3) Probably not a con for most of the year, but there are geese all over the course and they leave a lot of "presents"

Other Thoughts:

This makes a total of 4 courses in Brooklyn Park for a total of 30 holes.
#9 is your ace run, only 95 feet!
For what it's worth, I thought that this course was a decent use of land for a technical college but when stacked up against some of the other courses in the area, it's lacking in almost every area.
Good for students and I really wish this was put in while I was a student here.
