Moving from Washington DC to Seattle Washington: This was the big trip, packing up ALL of our things into a Toyota Camry including the dog, seats jammed so far forward you couldn't ever get comfortable. Started out with our last round at my favorite course of all time, Bluemont Park, and heading to Knob Hill and Moraine in Western PA - Both are spectacular courses. Then continued on to Kalamazoo for 2008 worlds where we met up with some friends from DC and from back in my midwest golfing days. We played all of the courses used for worlds that year including the now extinct Timber Ridge. After worlds we continued on to our old hometown, Lombard for a round at Summit (Sheila hadn't played it) and a round at my first homecourse, Madison Meadows. Left a few days later for Seattle via Jackson Park and Omaha Park in Rapid City SD and then to Gillette Rotary and Dalby where we played a night round under the park lights and bbq partyer lights. Visited the Badlands and Mt. Rushmore in between. Then onto Idaho where we played the now extinct Couer D'alene community college, Bluegrass park (yuck!), and a personal favorite Corbin Park. On our last day we arrived in Seattle and before unpacking drove to North Park for doubles. Of course, you know that we got paired up together after spending the last few weeks in the same car. We birdied hole 14 (only time so far) and tied Lowell and his partner for 1st with a 7 under.
