Welcome to the 14th Annual San Marcos Super Ice Bowl! This event is part of the 2021 Golden Sombrero Series of Ice Bowls held in Southern California that has been happening since 2007. This is a charity fundraising event (as are all Ice Bowls) and we will be raising funds for the North County Food Bank. Proceeds from your entry fee, raffle ticket sales and other donations will go towards our charity. The food bank can feed four hungry people for $1 and their services are currently in great demand - help us feed our hungry neighbors.
COVID sucks. But we're doing our best to deal with it and still hold a fun event. Our first "Socially Distant Ice Bowl at Kit Carson went really well, so we're doing it again. Notice that it is being held over the course of 2 weeks! That means you can play on any of the days from Feb 27-March 14. We're using UDisc Leagues to keep score and keep a running leader board, so if you don't have the UDisc app on your phone, download it today! And create an account so we can add you to the leaderboard. (And if you don't have a smartphone...we'll figure something out). We've also set this up so you can register to play a second or third round to improve your score. Yeah.

Play begins on Saturday, Feruary 27 at 6am and ends Sunday, March 14th at noon. It's a flex-start, so you play whenever you want. We will be playing 18 holes of disc golf with a "Superclass" disc. What's Superclass you ask? Only larger diameter, blunt rimmed, catch-style discs can be used. All registrants will receive a Superclass-legal, tournament-stamped Innova Zephyr as part of your entry fee. More info on Super Class here.
Your entry fee gets you a Golden Sombrero stamped Superclass disc and three raffle tickets. Extra tickets cost $1 each. The winner in each division will receive a custom-made Ice Bowl trophy.
If you don't already own a Superclass disc, choose the "Send it to me" option on the registration form and we'll mail your Zephyr to you ASAP for an additional $5.
Please limit group sizes to 3-5 players (at least 3 to discourage cheating, no more than 5 because the City of San Marcos has that as a rule). Stay socially distant from other players as much as possible - wear a mask when near other park users.
We will be holding a drive-through disc and prize pick-up on Sunday, March 14th at Montiel Park from noon-3pm. Pull up in your car (and stay in the car), tell us your name, pull forward, roll down a window and we'll put your stuff in the car. If it works for Bed, Bath and Beyond it can work for disc golfers!!!!!!
