The Ice Bowl(R) is a series of disc golf events that are held each year in January and February with an overall mission of raising funds to fight hunger and raise funds for various charities. Since 2011 the Forsyth County Ice Bowl has raised $3,600+ and 900+ lbs of food. These donations have helped local residents in the Northwestern NC area through our partners at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina in Winston Salem, NC.

The 33rd Annual Forsyth County Ice Bowl will be played on March 7th, 2019, when we hope to draw the support of over 90 players and sponsors. Our goal this year is to raise $2,500, which would break our single-year record of $1255 set in 2017. The largest percentage of our donations last year came from the 50+ participants. Other funding was from disc golfers who collected donations from friends and family, from the sale of licensed Ice Bowl merchandise, the sale of mulligans, closest-to-the-pin contest, raffle ticket sales, and corporate sponsorships. To help us reach our goal this year, the WSDGC has renewed its efforts to engage the Triad Area business community.
