Gameproofer smart sensor for disc golf product launch was at European Open last week, we now need feedback from all active and not so active disc golfers.

Well, the survey isn't in English and I didn't see anything to choose the language.
The videos are poor...they are only a few short seconds and don't show anything but a title.

I did check this out online (as much as I could) and it's a neat idea, but can't be used in sanctioned play. It looks like it would be slightly helpful in fieldwork, but even then, it wouldn't be totally accurate/helpful.

Why not? It adds weight to the disc. That weight/chip won't be there when I actually play, so the flight, spin, etc. will be different.

I doubt all those players would have bothered if the product was too hokey or affected flight too much. But who really knows yet, as it's a new company, new product, and the European Open was the first real world trial. I think this will be interesting to keep an eye on.

Submitted. Does your company have plans to make the data publicly available or any sort of metrics to compare to other players for learning purposes?

It sounds like the company set up a booth and maybe a net to throw into? Maybe a field? They don't say. And then players had the opportunity to make some throws. Like a normal vendor booth. Who wouldn't give it a try? I wonder though, were the players using their own discs with the gadget attached or were they throwing discs supplied by the vendor? That would affect their throws a bit.

Ditto to Tractorfox's query about data availability. We are both academics and have basic science interests in the datasets. I understand and assume EO data were acquired for proprietary reasons, but we are interested in any open science opportunities for data analysis that do not compete with your company goals. It would be of great interest and service to the DG community.

The only number I am interested in, involving my game is my current score. I use disc golf to get away from my phone, laptop, tablet...and the internet.

The beauty of the flight of the disc and ingraining myself with nature, are the only apps I need.
