The NO DOGS rule is in place to further protect slopes from eroding, but mainly to protect the course's existing wildlife which is interpreted on the tee signs. There are longitudinal studies being conducted on nests, middens and other wildlife habitat. The LWCF grant which made this disc golf park possible requires measures to conserve water resources and wildlife habitat. Dogs urinating on the land on a regular basis (let alone digging up nests) will gradually push away the wildlife shown on the tee signs, and disturb seasonal wildflower habitat between fairways. Course was designed to rotate fairways to restore disturbed areas when necessary. Thank you for your understanding.
9 hole disc golf trail designed to engage young children. Beginner pars and intermediate pars shown on tee signs. Complete trail system over rolling desert terrain with lichen covered rock outcrops, sparse trees and native shrubs. Mulched greens, a bridge, an island hole and an elevated basket are some of its features.
Tee signs introduce golfers to animals they may see and gives a tour of the Pony Express stops in Western Nevada. The historic trail runs along the edge of the disc golf park.
