Pros:
-The course uses its landscape to the max. 3 holes that flirt with the lake, 1 hole with a creek, 1 hole that you throw through tees, 2 up hill, 2 down hill.
-The scenery for such a small course is awesome. Built right in the heart of Auburn, near campus, it is surrounded by game day atmospheres in the fall. 2 barns also around the course.
-Available parking directly behind hole 1
-Practice Basket
-Course has good combination of long and short holes, especially with the addition of long pads.
-Course is very well maintained, grass is cut, water is clear, baskets are maintained.
Cons:
-No tee signs yet (should be in place in the next 2-3 weeks so I will reevaluate my rating)
-Long pads aren't marked yet (also should be done in the next 2-3 weeks)
-Because of the flow of the course it is very RHBH heavy. Not alot of flick shots for righties.
-No 1st Hole course map or layout (probably in the works as well)
Other Thoughts:
This is a brand new course with alot of potential. I am only rating it so quickly, so that people who want to have an idea of what to expect, they will have something to go by. The course is still in progress and I am in touch with one of the course creators daily. It will have marked long tees, concrete pads for short tee and tee pad signs in the near future. I am not the biggest fan of 9 hole courses but this one is fun. It is very attractive, built around a pond that is very well maintained. The course utilizes its strengths and gives some challenge although it can be scored quiet well. I recommend this course for anyone in the area.
