Airport Park

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 3, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

-- A really fun, short course with three T pads per hole. Blue and gold are marked as 1-9 and 10-18; red posts are in place but not numbered, yet. Those first 18 tees only offer one hole longer than 275 feet. Four of the nine blue tees offer holes shorter than 200 feet. Tons of trees to avoid that force you to shape shots and hit lines. A great place for newer players because the distances aren't off-putting but accuracy is rewarded.
-- Trees provide plenty of shade, greatly appreciated on hot summer days.
-- Doesn't favor one throwing style (RHBH, RHFH, etc.).

Cons:

-- The course plays inside of a walking path that winds through the small park. That means the path comes into play often. I saw several walkers/runners on my Monday morning visit. There are also picnic tables that are in flight paths.
-- Ground is really swampy.
-- No map.
-- No elevation and no water (except for the standing/casual variety).
-- Tees are natural and not in great shape.

Other Thoughts:

-- A rec center is at the parking lot. I assume water and restrooms are available, but I did not go inside. On the other side of the building, you've got tennis and basketball courts.
-- The pictures on this site are only two years old, but some of them are already out of date. For example, No. 9 now has a big bush halfway down the fairway that you have to throw over or around. It also means you can't see the basket from the tee.

Ok 9 holer

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 11, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice numbered baskets. Easy flow and navigation. Lots of shade for 90+ days. 2 tees for each hole. Quick play.

Cons:

Tees are dirt but ok condition. Not much variety of terrain or distance. Multi use but fairly deserted the sunday morning I played it. No other amenities.

Other Thoughts:

This is a fun little neighborhood course. Not much challenge for experienced players. Most players could just carry a couple of discs. It's a park like setting with lots of trees but short distance and the lines are not too difficult. Good players will certainly shoot well under par here. All in all not a bad course. If I lived close I would play it often but probably not worth a trip for most players
