Pros:
Good elevation changes and use of the park area. Mix of open and wooded holes and a balance of straight, left turning and right turning provides a great mix.
Good signage and navigation throughout the course.
Great views of that part of the Isle and with a stream/waterfall nearby. Mossy trees and rocks create a nice secluded feel.
Cons:
Several holes demand throwing across pedestrian walking paths. Check before throwing, especially on some of the blind holes.
Several wooded holes are very tight lines with no open lines from tee to basket wider than 5'.
Hole 4 plays up a steep hill that was very wet, muddy, and slick, even without rain in the previous week! Take care.
Shorter course - only one hole above 300'.
Other Thoughts:
The previous Mull course in Fanmore is currently closed as of late April 2023, per Mr. Gremlin, the man to bring disc golf to Mull - that may be reopened in 4-5 years. This course began as a "Trial" course for Mull in 2022, and still is running strong in 2023. Aros Park website indicates that some discs may be available for borrowing - I brought my own and didn't look into this. Disc golf is growing in Mull, so you may run into many people or players who don't know much or anything about disc golf. Great time to be a good ambassador and grow the sport!
