Pros:
- Baskets in good shape
- Long and short tees
- Lots of room between fairways, no overlapping fairways or public/pedestrian issues
- Mix of hole lengths, including some ace runs and Par 4s and a 5
- Cart and dog friendly
- Mowed fairways makes finding discs generally good, not a course you're generally in danger of losing a ton of discs on in spite of length and wooded nature (there are a couple of holes though)
- Clearly marked tees with signage
- Lots of parking
- RV sites if you want to stay
- Friendly owner
Cons:
- Grass tee pads, but no issues with them
- Heavily favors RHBH with the layout
- Could be more separation between tee pads to change the difficulty more, but not terrible either
- No real amenities we saw, and not else much in the area, more of a course to either drive up and play as a day trip, or hit on the way, unless you're planning on doing some other outdoor activities in the area and grab a site.
Other Thoughts:
- Not as challenging as many courses that are this distance. I don't put this as a pro or con, as it's what you prefer. With that said, we liked this course a lot, it's refreshing to play a course that doesn't feel like it's trying to hard to be difficult. Some people will criticize that, and granted the technical challenge is lower, but the designer didn't do gimmicky stuff to add difficulty or create a bunch of artificial OB.
