Pros:
You can play 11 holes by starting at hole #3 by the community center in the center of the park. Tee off from one of the many alternate tee markings in the parking lot to the south of the center and aim for basket #3. Then play holes 4,5,6,7,8 and 9. As you walk towards hole #1, there is a 4x4 partially buried next to the old horse hitching post. Tee off from there aiming at the practice basket. Then continue to shoot holes, 1,2 and finish with hole #3.
Holes 1, 2, 3 and 8 have permanently marked alternate tee pads on the concrete walkway or asphalt. The alternate tee pad for hole #1 is on the walkway near the practice basket, #2 is behind the actual tee pad on the concrete walk way, #3 is in the parking lot near the community center and #8 is on the asphalt path south of the permanent tee pad.
Cons:
Few obstacles unless alternate tee are used.
Other Thoughts:
Elk Grove Chainrackers DG Club plays a monthly tournament on the second Saturday of each month that offers 27 holes. Alternate tee pads are marked permanently on some holes, and ad hock for tournament play on others.
