Pros:
Tee signs on all the holes
Cement Tee Pads on all the holes
Flow is pretty basic, other than finding hole 5, the rest of the course was easy to find
GREAT use of the elevation and creek.
Cons:
Long walk between a few of the holes, specially basket 18 back to the parking lot to hole 1.
Course was nicely maintained, with the exception of the 2 farthest away holes 14/15.
Several of the holes seem to be repeditive, that is why the 3 over a 3.5.
Other Thoughts:
This is actually a decent course in a small town with little to work with.
Hole 1 starts off behind the YMCA by the large parking lot and pavilion. You have 4 run of the mill holes between the road, railroad tracks with a creek between them.
Then over to hole 5 that is across the road. This was the only spot I had to actually look for the next tee. Nice right to left shot down the creek to the basket.
Then a fun shot hole 6, although a short hole, you can't see the basket from the tee, you want your shot to be under the tree, throw past the basket and your in the creek.
Fun uphill shot #7.
Then probably the signature hole for this course, nice shot from the top of the hill down to the basket across the creek and to the left of the fairway. There are other good/better holes on this course, but this was the most scenic and fun to play.
Then you get bored for a bit, The next 5 holes are along the creek, some have mando's keeping you out of 16's fairway and #13 has a double mando for a short hole.
Then 14 and 15 are across the creek, basically the same right to left shot you just had on the last 5 or so holes. Long walk to 16's tee pad for a very long hole down the dirt road with a mondo keeping you out of 11's fairway.
17 was also an interesting shot, mostly open with the ball fields to the left with the basket down in the trees, blind shot off the tee.
18 was a longer hole across a small field to the basket in the trees near the creek.
Then a long walk back to the parking lot.
Again, this is a small town course, all the holes pretty much follow the Hamilton Creek. It is pretty and as long as you like throwing hyzers, it is a fun course to play.
Would I play here again?
This is a tough one, while as a hole the course is decent, it is rather repetitive hyzer hyzer hyzer shots. But it does play along a creek with large tree's. I always enjoy courses like this. I would play this one over the other 9 hole course in town. But I am not driving out of the way to play here again.
