From Rt. 1 in Akureyri: Follow Rt 821 south for 650 m, then turn right onto Naustavegur. In 1 km take a sharp left onto Naustabraut. Continue for 1.3 km (through one roundabout), then turn left onto Kjarnabraut/Kjarnavegur. In 500 m turn right onto Hamrar/Kjarnaskógur. Road ends at the campground in 700 m.
