Many players start here rather than Hole 1, which allows for relatively short walks between holes. Starting on Hole 1 means you'll be walking a LONG way between Holes 5 & 6.
Avoid all that garbage on the right side of the fairway. It's fairly thick; outs are tough. The left side is more forgiving, but you'll still have to work through the line of guard trees as the end of the fairway. I usually hyzer flip a Roadrunner here straight up the fairway. A flick or a slow S-Curve may also work, just make sure you don't come to the right too early and into the crap.
There's a big hyzer line around the crap on the right. Risky, but if you've got the arm and the accuracy you could bypass all the trouble and see yourself putting for deuce.
From the short tee it's a simple putter shot. Nothing special there.
We play the "long tee" from on top of the hill just past 16's basket. Much more fun. Most people there hang out a hyzer wide right and try to drop it in. Depending on the wind, I've seen people throw Aviars, Rocs, Firebirds, you name it. Again, the wind can be very tricky here.
Do your best to put it close because this is probably the hardest green on the course. The basket sits far enough down the hill that if your drive is too wide left, you're looking at a tricky downhill putt. And heaven help you if you're way wide left and down the other side of the hill. Most people hang their drive out to the right and fade in short of the basket. Again, disc up to deal with the elevation.
The wind can be a MAJOR factor on this hole as it whips over the crest of the hill. You may have to layup.
Several lines here. Most popular is straight up the gut just a little towards the large tree on the right. If you've got the arm, the big hyzer around the tree on the right is a pretty easy, straightforward throw; just swing it out wide towards #14's tee. Because of the added width, this line is probably 400' easy. Less often I've also seen people turnover a disc around the tree on the left or even lay down a roller.
On windy days, your drive can easily get away from you on this hole; I've seen more than a couple people flip over into the OB parking lot on the right.
Fairly straightforward hole. Plays a little longer since it is uphill some. The green is a little fast, so if you choose to throw a wide hyzer, watch out for big skips.
For lefties or forehanders, there's a line to the left, around the tree and dumpsters, but you'll be flirting with the OB road all along the way.
As long as you put it out over the road between or past those evergreens in front of the tee, you'll be fine. Careful to keep it low, or that big tree right off the tee will knock it down like nobody's business. After that, it's wide open. I usually hyzer flip a Roadrunner here unless it's really windy then I reach for a Destroyer.
Best shot is usually a tight S-curve. You really don't need to turn it as much as it looks, especially if you throw from the front-left of the pad. Just use something a little stable thrown with a little anny and hope you miss the trees.
I usually go straight up the gut with an Axis; maybe a stable Roc if it's windy. Once you clear the treeline, the wind seems to pick up; I've seen more than a few people look like they've thrown clean shots to the green only to flip over once the wind hits.
Some people will play an S-curve hugging the trees on the left.
On rare occasions I've seen people throw a tomahawk over the trees on the right.
Avoid the right side of the fairway at all costs; it's jail pretty much the whole way down. The usual play here is a sweeping turnover that starts by hugging the left side of the fairway.
