Pros:
There are some nice layouts throughout this mostly wooded course. It has a decent mixture of short and long holes with some doglegs, blind tee shots, mandos, and narrow fairways. Each hole has at least a few trees that come into play; some, however have a lot of trees, but their fairways are just big enough that you can avoid the trees with an accurate throw (though it's possible your disc might land behind a tree and make your next shot real tricky) There's also a creek that comes into play on a couple holes. The hills in this park come into play on a few holes. Some holes favor forehand drives, some favor backhand drives, then some allow you to use any throw you prefer. Also, the signage at each tee pad is helpful.
Cons:
Some holes are difficult to find, and the park could really use more signs to help guide players in the right direction. They have a couple signs, but they could definitely use more. The fairways aren't that grassy because of all the tall trees in the park. As a result, it seems like they're mostly dirt for most of the year, and some of them can also be covered in big piles of leaves from mid-fall to early spring, making it easy to lose your disc. Don't play here if it's rained recently because most of the course can get real muddy and stay like that for awhile. A few of the holes seem a little too short, but unfortunately there isn't much room to make them longer. There are a few others that have room to be a little longer and more challenging, but unfortunately the course designers didn't take advantage of that opportunity. Although I like the layout for the 18th hole, you need to keep an eye out for kids on the playground that's right next to the fairway. Be careful with your drive on the 10th hole. If your disc goes in that creek, you're going to have a hard time getting it out. Also, mosquitoes can be real bad in this area.
Other Thoughts:
Overall, this is a fun course to play, but it's also kind of challenging, especially for less experienced players. It definitely helps to have accurate throws on most of these holes, otherwise you're going to be in for a rough outing.
