over 11K feet?

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 4, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

3 tee pads, White and Blue are Cement, Red are dirt.
Baskets are still new and in good shape
Course has well defined fairways and is pretty easy to follow

Cons:

Man, the Blues tee's are long.........
The rough is thick
Does not looks like it is on a regular mowing schedule

Other Thoughts:

What a Beast of a course. I am not a fan of long open holes. This course is full of long holes where it is important to make sure you land where you want.
I mean, stay on the fairway, on the open holes the rough is tall grass where it is very easy to loose a disc. In the woods, the holes are narrow and the brush is thick. Might as well consider it OB.

Seriously, this might be the longest course I have ever played. it's just as long as Eagles Crossing Championship course.

While not as hilly, there is some elevation change on a few of the holes.

As the discription written up for this course, this course was designed to be a 72 par disc golf course. Why not, he had the space.

The first several holes follow along a trail for motorized track wheel trails. Hole 3, A big arm might go for the green over the lake. But me, I tried to throw down to the Red Tee and then back over the lake to the basket. Thankfully I nailed it for the 3. I really felt good about it specially considering this hole really needs to be cleaned up right now.

Then you have holes 4 to 8 are all mostly open shots with different lines you can take to get to the basket.

Hole 9 was a tough hole from the Blue tee. Up and over the top of a hill with a dogleg right, then down across a large open space to the basket tucked up under and behind a tree canopy. This is the 2nd longest hole on the course.

Then you get some shorter holes, but narrow fairways in the wood for the next 8 holes.

The stand out hole here was hole 13. I honestly have no idea what you want to throw here. It's a 800ft par 5 that I took a 6 on and was happy with it. It follows the shore line. I elected to not attempt any water shots in that I didn't see any I could throw.

And as seems to be typical for a Mike Brown course, hole 18 is the longest hole on the course. I had no idea where the basket was. I actually threw over the roads twice by accident not knowing where to throw. This is a more open hole, Nothing like carding an 8 on the last hole.

I finished my round with a 78, I know I could do better if I wasn't playing the course blind. But I did enjoy the round even though it was LONG.

Would I play here again? To be honest, this is not my favorite kind of course. I would actually like to play it again from the Whites and maybe even the Reds. Although I feel like I should always play the longest holes for some reason.

So while I may not play this course again, YOU SHOULD. it's well worth a trip as most of Mike Brown courses are.
