Other Thoughts:
Lake Panorama Disc Golf has set a technical course along the southeast shore of Lake Panorama, just NW of Panora, IA. Concrete tees and excellent baskets (Mach VII) matched with decent signage mark the good mechanics of the course. The holes are short with only one above 300', most under 250'. There is a surprising amount of terrain, but mostly limited to Holes 4 and 5. Holes 4-9 are in a more wooded area after the first 3 decently open. This will be a quick play for most, but the views are lovely (see pics). There are a couple of tough transitions. From the #4 basket is a sharp up and to the left to get to the #5 tee. #5 itself is a sharp down and up. There is also a meander to get from #6 basket to #7 tee. There is signage to guide you, though. While I was here in early May, the rough and the fairway grass was still not too bad. I have heard through the grapevine that that has deteriorated as the spring has bled into summer. Hopefully, there can be some good upkeep. The bones here are good. It is a course I would play again, if I had the chance.
