Huge Heifers Near the Creek

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 4, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

There are some fun shots on this 9'er. I thought it'd be an easy beginner 9 at the end of a hot day, but boy was I wrong! Hole 3 is a downhill RH side arm with the creek on the left and basket hidden behind trees. Such a beautiful shot! Hole 7 is a narrow tree lined fairway, but you can bail out wide left to avoid trees. Hole 9 is a test to how straight you can throw your disc with no fade. The creek is to the left and a tree lined roadway to the right. Fun hole to finish a round.

Signage is good and baskets are new. The design has a little bit of everything with tight technical shots, some bomber holes, natural OB, and tricky elevation.

Cons:

My only cons to this course are grass tee pads and some long walks between holes that felt extremely long in the heat. I also thought the hole 5 area could've been utilized for two different holes with those mature trees.

Other Thoughts:

The cattle keeping cool in the creek are some of the biggest I've ever seen! Monster cattle eating good in Winchester!

Add concrete tee pads and this course is a solid 3.
