Very open with just a few trees. Most holes are very straight shots, with no obstacles. There are defined fairways, but unless the grass is high, no real problems for going off fairway. Wind off lake can be strong. Dredge material relocation areas are nearby and these areas should be avoided, "keep out" signs are posted. Old Field Island also has a public beach, boater's beach, dog park, playground, volleyball, picnic shelter houses and a paved walking path that connects to a 3-mile bike path along the west bank and south bank.

I-75 to exit 110. Head east on US-33 for 11.6 miles and then turn right to stay on US-33 E. Continue for another 4.2 miles to a left onto Duff Rd. Take that to the end and make a left onto OH-235. Drive for .2 miles to the park entrance on the right. Park on far left side of large parking area near the beach. Sign and fire tee are easily seen from there.
