Pros:
-6 old DGA baskets, but in good repair
-Lots of parking
-Can smell and hear the surf
-Park seems well cared for
-First 3 holes are wide open bombers, last 3 have some obstacles. Udisc has 3 more object holes to finish out and bring you back to the parking area
-Only course on the island that is free to play
Cons:
-No tee pads
-No tee signs
-Route of play goes through ball fields, so likely can't be played at times when baseball is being played
-No bathrooms or water that I saw
-No wayfinding signs of any sort
Other Thoughts:
I'm glad that there is at least a small disc golf presence in Kona, but this is a severely limiting course for a few reasons. Without the Udisc app, I can promise I would not have been able to find the last 3 baskets. As mentioned above, play goes through the ball fields so conflicts are bound to happen. If this can lead to a bigger foothold in the area and community interest increases, this would be a success, but as a course it is very limited. Still glad I brought a few discs on vacation and got to play!
