Lots Of Potential But Needs Major Maintenance

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 20, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

Very nice piece of land for a course, with elevation changes and a good number of trees in play.

Majority of holes are well designed with a good variety of distances and shot shapes.

Flow is good.

4"x4" posts with signs at each tee are fairly easy to spot when looking for the next tee.

Map board at the parking lot.

Baskets are in great shape with arrows in the tray to point to next tee.

Cons:

Underbrush makes the course almost impossible to play without losing discs or spending a lot of time searching, roughly 70% of the area in play covered in brush and tall grass.

Lots of fallen limbs are ankle twisting and tripping hazards.

Gravel tees are playable, but could be better.

Distances given on several tee signs are questionable.

Other Thoughts:

It would take a ton of work to clear the fallen limbs so that the brush and grass could be cut, if it ever happens, I would happily add this course in the rotation of courses I play.

I was throwing 100' putter shots on the 200'+ holes just to see where my disc landed to keep from losing a disc. I have no doubt that I would have lost a few discs if I would have thrown drivers on the longer holes.

Recommended for serious baggers only, there are better course options in the region for anyone else.
