Pros:
Great views of the old granite quarries. Interesting shots, especially 5 over the water, very doable by an intermediate thrower but dramatic with sheer granite walls into water. Well marked next holes. Some nice crushed granite tee pads. Beautiful area and course is getting some real love.
Cons:
Holes 8 and 9 (maybe also 10) are a long slog up hill along a dirt road / snowmobile path. Some long walks between holes. Disc concealing ferns on a few holes (lost one on 6). Be ready for a hike in the woods.
Other Thoughts:
The course caretakers are likely fighting to be able to keep this clear. There are a lot of trees and some high grass. On the first several holes I caught trees mid flight on first drive, but then was able to drive to hole on next try.
The long walk up 8, 9, 10, is rewarded with some very nice views along 12 and 13. If you want to shorten things, after 7 there is a sign to 14, but maybe walk backwards up 13 to catch the quarry view.
If you are on route 89 in Vermont, this is a cool course, 15 minutes off the highway. Definitely worth checking out!
