Other Thoughts:
Stayton Middle School DGC falls into the category of 'any course is better than no course'.
I just don't exactly know what the course designer was thinking. To me, a middle school course should be beginner friendly and fun, but man, this place is a doozy.
Holes 1, 4 and 9 are all 400+ feet.. these 11 year-olds better be hitting the weight room. Holes 2 through 5 play with some overlapping fairways and would be reason for concern if this course were to ever be busy. And almost all the baskets are positioned very close to blackberries.. which brings me to hole 6.
Hole 6 has to be one of the worst disc golf holes I've ever attempted to play. The fairway is a walking path in the woods with blackberries everywhere- even up to the basket itself.
I love seeing disc golf at schools, but unfortunately not many good vibes were to be had here. I think with some design changes we could get this place up to a 2.5, but for now, 2.0 discs is the best I can offer.
