Pros:
The Veterans Memorial at the park is well done and worth visiting.
At least 6 baskets (and possibly up to 8, based on other reviews). The ones I found and actually walked to (see cons) were decent DGA models.
A place where someone with good waterproof boots could practice all kinds of throws and practice looking for discs in high grass.
A place where someone who lives nearby could practice putting.
A good place to throw with baskets that would probably never be crowded.
Cons:
No signage (ok, no accurate signage. I saw one sign for a hole that I don't think is there).
No tee pads or markings for tee pads or directions to tee pads or evidence of former tee pads or rumors about the existence of tee pads.
Extremely high grass in most places throughout the property, including around a basket that has the number 4 on it. It's the highest grass I have ever seen around a basket. The basket has disappeared into it like Homer Simpson backing into a hedge.
I don't know how the weather usually is and how the property reacts to rain, but today most of the place was just a marsh, a bog, wetlands that may or may not be protected by anything, just wet land. Land that is very wet. Mudville, USA.
Other Thoughts:
This course was 0.2 miles from the motel where I was staying. I read the previous reviews and went and tried it out anyway because I like seeing new places and throwing discs in those places. Don't stop if you are driving by, speed up.
If you live there, maybe the fact that the parks dept. dedicated some space to disc golf could mean there is hope for improvements.
