From the straight tee to the short pin position, I'm trying to get clean down the fairway, and will often throw my River or a well-beat in Teebird. The long tee and basket positions make this a pretty brutal hole. If the basket is on the ridge on the other side of the (hopefully dry) ravine, you definitely want to decide the risk/reward of laying up your approach at the base of the pin, since everything that runs past the basket is getting wet.
