Pros:
-Really nice playground for the kids. If you have little ones who get bored during your round, you will love this!
-Fruit trees. I was able to enjoy a freshly picked pomegranate, and a small, but sweet orange, and there were also lots of grapefruit. All these trees were surrounded by fruit rotting on the ground, so I'm guessing no one cares if they are eaten.
-Easy to navigate. There are signs that give distance at every tee, and the strangely placed toe boards form an arrow that points straight at the basket.
-Holes 2, 5 and 8 were the bright spots for me. Hole 2 was just a 450' slightly downhill bomb, but the wicked cross-wind made me think before I threw. I enjoyed hole 5, which had a good risk vs. reward despite being a very short hole. Hole 8's basket was hiding behind two trees and made you choose to either play the anny or hyzer bomb to get around a couple very dense trees in the middle of the fairway, or take the thumber route over the top.
-Nice sturdy baskets that catch pretty well for being homemade.
-Drinking fountain and a clean port-a-potty on site
Cons:
-Tees were dirt, with sketchy footing.
-Definitely have to scout out a couple holes if you haven't played here before.
-Hole 6 had a dangerous pin placement. Only 5 feet from the fence around the house, blind shot with no real options to get within putting distance.
-Hole 4 has a real chance of throwing your disc onto the highway, and the hole position is unimaginative. It basically forces you to throw into a pile of trees and hope to somehow get through a gap to have a 30 foot putt down an obstructed path.
Other Thoughts:
This is not a very well designed course. With the amount of space and obstacles they had to work with here they could have made some really cool holes. Holes 4, 5 and 6 are all dangerous shots with crossing fairways. There are several holes that are open, and then they just stuck the basket behind a tree or pile of bushes. If you had never played this sport, you might find these interesting shots, but to a seasoned player they are more annoying than fun. If you're in the area (which is in the middle of nowhere) it's worth stopping by, but I wouldn't drive too far out of your way for this one. It would be fun to bring my kids here for the playground, sand volleyball, and the fruit trees, but the course is underwhelming.
