Pros:
-Good long practice course.
Cons:
-I hear its days are numbered, to be replaced by kiddie soccer fields.
Other Thoughts:
-The new Map on this site reflects the re-numbering of holes #3-8 a few years ago...
-...but not the Hole Info page, so read the footage listing as 1, 2, 5-8, 4, 3, 9-18, instead of 1-18.
-Be careful with casual water stream on Hole 3, very dark and murky, throw a bright disc.
-Hole 4 is now longer than 212' after the post-shutdown re-install. It throws long across the casual water, a bigger hyzer now instead of the easy birdie hyzer. It's cool, but there goes the easiest birdie on a long course.
-Keep walking SE to find Hole 5's tee box, it has no sign post and gets hidden by tall grass, over by the tree towards the building and playground. It's not the one closer to Hole 4 and easy to see, that is Hole 6.
-Do not over-cook your drive on Hole 5 into the big creek on the right, you will not fish it out.
-Hole 8's tee box was wiped out during the firehouse and storm pit construction, it now shares Hole 12's tee box and is less than 313'.
-For those who don't know, 13 and 14 used to be very formidable with a gauntlet of trees that got sick and died a number of years ago, changing the whole look of that area.
-Though the course is known as not that fun, the holes really are a nice challenge.
-Go practice this 40-yr-old course.
