I don't know how other runs fly but I own three 1.7 SOLF's and I can hammer these 130m (425') and they only have a small amount of turn at that speed. They fade more than they turn for me.
I need some second opinions. For those of you that have actually thrown the Spice, what would you say it compares to in stability?
I have two of them and I've been throwing them some more lately. Based on the videos I've seen I expected it to be straighter than it is, basically a PD type disc...
Having a tough time deciding between the Teebird3 and the Coalesce, will probably bag them both for a while and see which ones I reach for the most. I'm liking the PA-3 so far, both for putting and throwing.
3x PA-3
2x Envy
2x Zone
Zone OS
Trust
Diamond
2x Teebird3 / 2x Coalesce
2x Felon...
It didn't take very long for my Ethos Coalesce to start showing some turn. Slight hyzer flip to straight to fade. After throwing this for a while I feel like this is much more comparable to a Teebird3-type disc than a Thunderbird/Anax/PD. I do feel like the Ethos is a tick straighter than the...
First competition of the year yesterday, not sure how many more I'll play, I just get upset haha.
Threw the disc so so well from the tee during round two, but couldn't convert. Had 14 (!) circle hits and only converted five. That is not even bad, that's horrible...
Took out my Glimmer Harp I bought last spring (I think) and learned on it heavily during my last round. I think I like it a bit more than my Mint, will have to evaluate some more though. Probably gonna be a mostly BH disc if it stays in the bag.
I've been thinking that the Coalesce feels quite small in the hand for a 9-speed and took to the calipers. All the ones I have are <18,5mm. I think it wouldn't be wrong to call this an 8-speed, as it seems to fly slower than a lot of other 9-speeds I've tried.
I'm definitely not surprised you like them 😅
I couldn't really find a good enough reason to keep one in the bag. It was more a slightly longer compliment to my Flares than a compliment to any of my distance drivers.
