i have evo wizards that are quite overstable. the prodigy PA2 would also be a good choice. 400 series models are very overstable and the 300 series beats in nicely. It has a similar feel to a warlock.
My bag setup for 2015 as of now.
Distance drivers: Understable to Overstable.
- Star Sidewinder - 175 - effortless turnovers/rollers
- Star Orc's - 172&173 - hyzerflips, huge turnovers, all out distance
- Star Destroyer's - 171 & 175 - pop top s/ds bottom stamps. long drives that finish left...
thanks. I could probably go with the rocs and eagles off the tee and score pretty well on most courses in fair conditions, those are my go to molds.
for you the force would give you a more consistent hyzer flight at the same distance range as your pd's. its been my go to overstable bomber for...
2x Force - 172 1st run ESP that is stupid overstable, 174 player's cup sparkle z that is straight with no turn and a hard finish.
2x Giant - 174 pop top tournament line: fresh and overstable with glide. 169 pop top: has a slight turn to it. this is my bomber disc.
2x Orc - 175 star: has a bit...
things have switched up a bit.
2x echo * Xcals - extra beefy newer mold/ early run with star xcal stamp
2x proto forces - new that is slightly overstable/ worked in one that is for max d and hyzerflips
2x champ orcs - new and straight/ beat in and flippy
2x 11x banshees - new/seasoned
3x 11x...
i like to mess around with new combinations, thats for sure. i've been looking into a patriot and know that you throw them, how does it fly (in different plastics) and what would you compare it to?
its been working great for me lately. no tournaments, but plenty of successful league and doubles rounds with this set up. i may be adding a fresh 11x eagle L to the lineup, but not until i get some back ups. in wet weather i will occasionally add a few dx variations.
400-500 BH/300-370 FH
3x Force - beefy 1st run esp, 2x blue proto force new/beat
3x champ orc - pearly flat tops from new and straight to seasoned and flippy
350-450 BH/275-340 FH
2x 11x kc banshees - new and beefy, seasoned and straight with very hard fade still
2x champ eagles - new 11x X...
the most enjoyable thing in disc golf for me is watching a huge distance line ride out in the wind. i love to throw proto D3's for max D, however i've been throwing 160 gram VIP air giants with success lately too. not sure about the hang time, but i can push them out over 600 (digital range finder).
1x ESP Force - stiff pop top 1st run, very overstable
2x tournament Giant - new and beefy, and one seasoned a little.
2x Orc - new marbley star that is stable, one pearly champ that is worked in for hyzerflips and big turnovers.
2x 11x KC Banshee - one newish and very overstable, one seasoned...
trying out a few different faster speed discs. I usually don't throw these a lot on the courses around here, as I throw my eagles and teebirds 400 easy. they get more use on windier days and longer/less technical courses.
1x echo star xcal - pop top, obnoxiously overstable
2x tournament giant -...
Been a while, but here's the current set up:
2x Giant - flat VIP (straight), domey Tournament line (beefy)
1x 400 proto d3 - distance (i've thrown these over 600)
2x firebird - flat top 12x, seasoned "pro" stamped champion
3x eagle - new 11x, seasoned 11x, CE L mold (mainly throw the eagles...
