I think I saw that Heimburg dropped from the Krokhol Open. I'm assuming that means he didn't go to Europe. I guess that means that Klein will take his place.
Agreed. They are not doing enough Hole Previews during the live broadcast because they are jumping around so much trying to catch all the action. I'm okay with seeing the action on other cards a minute or two late so they can reset and keep the viewer better informed on what is going on...
The worst part about the west coast swing is that I can't watch FPO on Friday mornings at work.
Prediction: Rathbun and Weatherman get another podium finish in back to back events.
I really liked the change on Hole 18. The new drop zone on hole 16 though ... MAJOR FAIL! I'm not sure what they were thinking, but watching dozens of 20 foot layup putts all weekend was ridiculous. That hole would be so much better if they moved the basket away from waters edge by at least a...
This was a great tournament to watch ... especially the final round of MPO. I might go back and watch the Jomez version of the final round to see if it captured the excitement of the live broadcast since most of the action was on the chase card and even the 3rd card with Klein (until Anttila's...
Definitely interested to see the new layout. I would love for DGN to do a course preview show for each tournament. I would be much more interested in that as opposed to a lot of the other non-tournament content they produce.
Interesting pick with Dickerson. I can't figure him out lately. My prediction is that none of the Top 8 MPO finishers from Waco will be in the Top 8 at Austin.
I'm a fan of the Par 66 model for disc golf when the land allows for such a design.
Front 9 and Back 9 each contain 4 x Par 3's / 4 x Par 4's / 1 x Par 5
I enjoyed the tournament very much. I find it strange that the overall attitude on this site is so negative towards the DGPT. Yes - they do some head scratching things sometimes, but I prefer to give them a break as they grow and see how things progress from year to year. I do understand that...
I will never forget seeing Tyler Horne play the Paw Paw courses in 2004 at the West Virginia Open. It was the first time I had ever seen someone with ELITE distance. My buddies and myself definitely noticed how he gripped the disc. It was like his hand was on top of the disc. Crazy!
The announcers were still unsure of the actual team scores as the MPO was finishing their singles round. This seems to happen every year with this event. We never really know how what is going on during the event.
For the record, I am looking forward to the new season. The live production has gotten steadily better over the years. My biggest complaint was the inability to pause the live broadcast or start watching it whenever I wanted after the live broadcast started. That apparently has been fixed for...
