Wet muddy conditions off front of tee pad

I think you have to accept the limitations imposed by wet & muddy conditions and adjust accordingly. Throttle down, throw less stable discs, and opt for standstills. In difficult conditions it becomes more about avoiding mistakes than generating scoring opportunities.

Putting: Can it be a wrist-only action?

You are dead in the water thinking about how each body part has to move in order to throw a 20' foot putt (or any shot for that matter). You cannot make putts if you are thinking about how much your wrist is extending. Ask me how I know. Remember that a putt is just a short throw. You feel way...

    Is it just me or...

100%. In contrast to adding distance, which can take months to years, playing smart yields dividends right away. However I think for most people disc golf is just another source of quick dopamine hits. Trying to crush every drive and run every 50 footer is way more stimulating than deliberately...

    Is it just me or...

My brother had me try one of his Bergs during a round recently and I am now a believer. It is stupidly easy to flick, holds a slight anhyzer line well and drops to the ground before fading too much. I think there is still a lot to be said for knowing how to finesse a floaty understable putter...

True last point of contact - Tristan Tanner

What are these clock positions (10:30, 12:00, etc) in relation to? How confidently can you know based off a picture? Do you know what type of shot was being thrown and what the target was? I think you need to answer these questions before drawing any conclusions from a picture or video of...

Putting test results: not touching disc w/ pinky at all helped me with clean releases, pop, wobble

Off topic but just wanted to draw attention to this excellent phrase and concept. I will absolutely be thinking about this while putting from now on.

New member here - where to start working on bh form?

Keep things very simple by giving yourself just a few drills (e.g., dingle arm) to work on. Every month or so, post video of your swing in the form review thread. Just as you limit the number of drills you perform, so should you limit the number of sources you receive feedback from. Pick one or...

    Distance

If you truly have that type of power right now, and you want to compete at the highest level, do these things instead of chasing distance: 1) Start playing MPO immediately; play as many tournaments as you can, but have stretches of time where you take "offseasons" to give yourself time to work...

Stop asking if you are outside the circle!

All you have to say is "in" or "out". You are not required to defend your answer and you shouldn't even if you want to. If he was bitching afterward your options are to ignore him or tell him to shut his pie-hole and stop dragging the card down.

Pinching the disc and snapping the wrist

That is interesting. My stance is that, if you're gripping it tight too early, you can't effectively clamp down at the hit because you have already shot your wad with regard to grip pressure. I also think that gripping hard too early causes you to snatch the disc into the pocket, scapula goes...

Pinching the disc and snapping the wrist

I would love to see this, I think most ams are gripping hard too early.

Pinching the disc and snapping the wrist

To put it in terms of opposing motions, there are two forces acting at the hit (as I currently see it). The outward motion is what I was attempting to describe in the first post: the stretch-shortening of the tendons on the back of the wrist, triggered by the pinching of the disc (no earlier...

Cole Redalen vs Paul McBeth - Slingshot

If you want to be a bigger presence online and receive more of the recognition that's being unfairly withheld from you, then you need to start cranking out the content. Bitch about it all you want but novice players are going to Youtube for instruction and if you aren't making content regularly...

    Grip slo motions

Answer to what? I didn't ask a question, I just want to see what the wrist looks like with light and firm grips.

Pinching the disc and snapping the wrist

There is a stretch-shortening cycle happening in the tendons which cross the back of the wrist. I think the sequence of events is something like this, starting with the disc fully in the power-pocket: -elbow begins to extend -inertia of disc pulls wrist into more flexion, causing tendons on...
