    the philosophical disc golfer

I blame the heat for all of this shenanigans; a few of my friends have also started philosophizing. I don't think you sacrifice relationships for disc golf unless you're a fucking pro and have to live on the road...or have really bad relationships. Beauty of this sport is you can bring literally...

    Nuke SS vs. Katana

Yea that's what I figured, but Marshall Street had them on sale :-D. And you know...maybe tomorrow....that next 50 feet breakthrough.....

    Nuke SS vs. Katana

I throw teebirds about 320-30; either gentle hyzer lines or flipping up a DX one regarding my nuke. I can get a little bit more out of wraiths. In some sense, my disc behaves identical to the orange Z Nuke (normal) I got. Mine is also very flat so the stability might reallly be affected by...

    Nuke SS vs. Katana

umm...I throw about 330 and I got a new 169 Red Z Nuke SS from Marshall Street. That thing is not understable by any stretch of the imagination. Anyone else have this happen?

Which of these is the Straightest?

I'd actually say the star valkyrie if its still in non-beat condition. I feel like valkyries are horribly underrated. Try throwing it with a slight hyzer angle than adjust it accordingly.

    some recommended discs?

And a teebird or eagle. Just wondering--why high speed AND -3 understable? Make sure you're not suffering from OAT (see if you can throw your putter well). It's just kind of weird to see someone wanting a faster disc AND something that understable when the goal isn't a specific shot but overall...

KC Pro Roc or DX Roc

I say the same thing as these guys. The one BAD part i've noticed about committing to the roc as basically my only mid is that they take FOREVER to beat in. I'd say longer than teebirds even.

It's the humidity part of it that's definitely worse; I seriously can't warm up putting without starting to sweat

Anyone else getting completely owned by the heat wave right now?!?! I feel like I'd rather be playing in snow!

    Best discs for different tendencies

Nice, yea that's mostly what I was looking for. The reason I didn't just assume Destroyer or Boss is because of this. I know that a huge part of getting distance is to have the nose of the disc down as it flexes back. Do you know if this is easy (relatively) to do with a destroyer? Or does the...

    Best discs for different tendencies

Regarding Hyzer tendencies: I learned how to throw clean with some DX teebirds which inevitably became beat to sweetness. The downside of this was since whenever I would have degrees of anhyzer, the teebirds would not return so the way many ppl compensate throwing faster plastic with OAT, I...

    Best discs for different tendencies

I remember stumbling upon DGR for the first time a few years ago and when looking through the original reviews, I remember some of them being very helpful. For example, Blake had stated explicitly that the teebird is not good for those with anhyzer habits. Through perusing the forums I've...
