Second on Armfield. It is a beautiful course with a nice mix of open and wooded holes. The short tees are usually just two painted rocks in the grass but aren't too hard to find. Hole 15 will eat a lot of people's lunch on distance, but really open and still fun to play. I rarely throw 250' and...
Played this one recently. As much as I love Creekside, I think this is the best disc golf course in the Triad area. The bamboo hallway on hole #1 is awesome. It is a little too open for my taste in general, but tons of fun. This is what Patriot DGC should have/could have been.

Looking at the map it appears to have a few holes with multiple pads/baskets.
5.5 years in and I still suck. I don't keep score and I don't do field work. I walk around and throw plastic in the woods with my dad. I doubt I've ever had a round less than par and I don't care. YMMV.
I think every review of this course includes the word 'secluded':
Bear Creek Disc Golf in Robbins, NC.

Also, this nearby course is very quiet and secluded:
Village of Pinehurst DGC in Pinehurst, NC...
If you start typing "Uncle Ando's" into google, it auto-completes with "Uncle Ando's Wurld of Weed"
Makes sense now.
Not going to click through to their website from work, but it appears the Centralia location would be most likely by looking at the satellite view on Google maps.
Rockness Monster - Roxboro, NC (easily my favorite)
Creekside Park - Archdale, NC (not top 5 in quality, but my favorite local course)
Richmond Hill - Asheville, NC
Cedar Hill - Nashville, TN
Sharp Springs Park - Smyrna, TN

There is a survey for input on forming the master plan for a new park. Disc golf is one of the options for amenities on the survey. My dad lives exactly one mile from this park. It would be awesome to have a course in the area (other than the Stokesdale 9 holer, that is)...
If you haven't played Leigh Farm Park yet, don't. It might be enough to break the spirit of a newbie. One of only two disc golf courses I ever walked off of after a few holes.
Valley Springs is a lot of fun. I wish we had a course that good here in GSO.
The course is permanent. I played it Saturday. Pretty much what you'd expect from a nine-holer around athletic fields at a high school. They did incorporate the trees and shrubbery along the right side on 4,5,6 IIRC. Perfect for a lefty BH or a RHFH like me. The baskets aren't numbered but it...
I'm not sure. I'll ask. I think it may have been up for a while now. She said the kids at school who play said it was better than Westwood Park. Not a high bar to clear, but interesting. If it's temporary I may go play it soon. That link says December 2nd for tournament and the flyer says Dec 10.

My daughter goes to Mount Airy High School and told me one of the teachers is a disc golfer and has built a course at the school. There is a tournament there next month. Anybody played the course?
Teacher is PDGA #376.
As someone who has lived in Greensboro all my life, but spent a lot of time in Raleigh and Charlotte, I like it here in the middle better. Less traffic, lower cost of living, cool neighborhoods and still plenty of quality restaurants and night life opportunities. Greensboro proper is **** for...
