Does anyone know if McBeth is planning on playing in this tourney? He's not on the pre-reg list and I don't see him on any other tourney pre-reg for that weekend.
They sure do. They sell them at the shop, over the phone, and even had a Christmas sale on their FB page for them. Yes, they are very meticulous which is why they have F2's. The slightest flaw will get the bag pulled from the normal run.
MR is SOOO picky that the slightest thread pull or crooked stitch is not acceptable and normally find their way into the "factory second" pile. It's pretty hard to spot them as I've seen several ones and can't locate them.
Most MR bags are made of 500D per their site. I'll ask a a rep next time I'm in that area or see one on the course as I was under the impression it's 500D.

The Proto's/First Run bags might have been made of 1000D but I...
Mahals, as well as most MR bags, are made of 500D... and those NEVER rip! I've seen 1 ballistic nylon Mahal and it was heavy and rigid and MR will never make another one. It's just not necessary.
Ballistic nylon is complete overkill and it's not very pliable for comfort. It your bag is a well built as you claim then there would be no need to go above 500D...Which is less porous than 1000D or higher.
