I love neutron waves too, around 168g.
I was hoping a fission photon in the mid 160s would be the "slightly beefier wave." But, it's a few ticks more stable. It might get there after I knock the new off of it. Right now, I can't get any turn out of it (it's still very fresh). But, it does...

new baskets!
I played this course for the first time the other day. Low Gap hasn't been reviewed here in a while, and I just wanted to add that there are 18 brand new Dynamic Disc baskets installed (and they look/catch great).
Residents of Ukiah are lucky to have this course right in the...

go play brooktrails!
This is a beautiful course in the redwoods. It shares real estate with a ball golf course, but they don't share too many fairways.
All the holes were really well designed. It doesn't feel like a lot of the disc golf courses that are built on ball golf courses. The...

fun park course
Easy to navigate. Good course for beginners, or for experienced players who are vacationing with friends/family... The course is challenging enough for an intermediate player, but probably a good place for beginners to learn. Wide variety of tee shots.
Only 9 holes. A little...

beautiful/tons of fun
Dragon's Ridge is a very challenging/technical 18 hole course. It will force you to throw all kinds of shots. It's in a beautiful spot, I took my wife and she really enjoyed the hike (she doesn't throw). The course is very easy to navigate once you find the first teepad...
My champ Roc3 is remarkably similar to my K2 Kaxe Z at around 280-300 feet. I might get an extra 20 feet or out of the Kaxe Z, but I feel like the Roc3 powers down a little better.
I've been bagging a Mako3 while waiting for some Mcpro Roc3's to beat in.
I haven't been all that happy with the Mako3. It's fine, but I just don't look forward to throwing it. I've been experimenting with a Fuse over the past few weeks, which has been a lot more predictably understable...
I describe star Thunderbirds as a a kinder, more gentle Firebird. Note: I've only thrown star Thunderbirds (around 168g), and I think they're a bit more stable than champion.
For someone who throws Teebirds about 300', Thunderbirds and PDs will be more or less identical. Neither will show any...
In my experience, pinnacle beats up a little faster than premium plastics from other brands. That is: don't give up yet! There are gravity (baseline) patriots available, and they are a lot of fun (and cheap) while you're waiting for your pinnacle to season up.
I live in the Bay Area, and go up to Tahoe once or twice a summer (elevation: 6,200'). It's a very different game... My biggest recommendation is: bring that dusty/beat DX leopard that you have in the basement that you were planning on giving to a beginner. My second biggest recommendation...

Really fun course!
I had a great time on this course. I played on a Saturday afternoon (of Labor Day Weekend), and there were only a few other groups out there. There are a wide variety of very fun shots, and I felt like the course was really well designed. The elevation was used creatively...
Last night, I was watching this video:

(2016 King of the Hill (Alaska) Rnd 4)
Schwebby went thumber thumber thumber putter on a similar hole (for birdie), and was always in the center of the fairway. I'll consider going overhand the next time I...
