Critique my bag please...help out a newb!!

Welcome! Hm. There are quite a few molds here. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with trying out a bunch of different molds when you are a new player. When I first started playing, I threw lots of molds, too. They are all fun to throw! :D As a beginner, I also lost a lot of discs in...

Good headwind driver for a Wraith thrower?

A Teerex-X would be a great choice here. Teerex-X's are CFR discs and not as easy to find, but at least they are still in production. The original Teerex's are soooo hard to come by these days. Another good option would be a beat up Star Max. A Star Max will never let you down in a headwind...

MVP Disc Sports - Official Thread

I just bought my first Ion today--a red Medium 175g. I haven't even thrown it yet, but I can already tell I'm gonna like it. It feels real good in my hand. I especially like how the inside rim has a curved finish. Because of the curved inside rim, there is more surface area for my...

    Bag Critique v2

Hmm...I suppose I'll have to take another look at the Evo Wizard if there are some stiff ones out there. The last one I ordered online...I don't think I'll get another Evo Wizard unless I can buy one in person and actually squeeze on a stack of 'em. I should've realized that Gateway plastics...

    Building a Bag

Sorry for the late reply. I like all of my overstable discs to be in Champion/Z, so I would go for the Z Predator. I've had my original Z Predator for 3 years now, and I only just recently bought a new one. Pick one that you like a lot--it will be in your bag for a long time. Teebirds are...

Which disc in your bag sees the least amount of play?

Where I live, my least-used disc is very dependent upon the seasonal winds. I mostly play long, wide open courses. During the winter, and most especially the springtime, the winds are blowing hard, and I almost never throw my Leopard or Comet. However, during the summer and fall, the winds...

    yvescy's noodle arm bag

Before recommending a long-distance turnover driver, there is one decision you must make: "When I throw my long-distance turnover disc, do I want the disc to try and straighten out near the end of its flight, or do I want the disc to keep turning over all the way until it hits the ground?" If...

    Bag Critique v2

How do you use your Wizard/FLX Challenger combo? I currently use Medium Wizards for both driving and putting. Recently I've thought about adding a Cryztal or FLX Challenger though, because I play rocky courses frequently, and the bead on my Wizards are getting chewed up quicker than I would...

    z-pred question

Oh no...that's not good news...I really depend on Z Predators because I play in heavy winds all the time. Is there some way to look at a stack of Z Predators in the store and know if one will be more HSS than another? I've been using the same Z Predator for three years now, and it's...

    Faster Force

I suspect it won't be long before they make a speed 13 overstable disc. The Nuke and Boss were the first speed 13 molds from Innova and Discraft and those discs were designed to be stable fliers. The only other discs in this category are the Groove and Katana, both of which are understable...

    Whats your favorite putter?

172 M Wizard I like all the various stable putters (KC Aviar, Challenger, Banger GT, etc.). I chose the Wizard because of how it feels in my hand. It also comes in lots of different types of plastics, too.

    The anti-"wide-rimmed driver" thread.

The creek runs along the left of the fairways...I'll bet it's that big skip/fade they weren't expecting when they threw it!

    The anti-"wide-rimmed driver" thread.

There is a deep creek at my home course that runs along the length of some of the fairways. Because I play nearly every day, I started carrying a long, homemade "grabber", which I made from a ball golf retriever, just in case I need to fish out my disc. I'm always finding other people's discs...

    The anti-"wide-rimmed driver" thread.

I'll exclude FH throwers from my ranting...wide-rimmed discs are fine if you are throwing FH for distance. I have small hands, and even with small hands the wide rims do feel nice when I throw FH. On FH throws, the fat rims really sit well inside the webbing between the thumb and forefinger...
