    vibram vp

I fondled some firm reds at Marshall Street over the weekend ... feel pretty much identical to my B protos. Did they make any changes to the mold from the protos to the production runs?

Sound Off - The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (over 1k posts!)

Good: Set a new personal best on my home course. Bad: It was a +3 on Borderlands white to white. Ugly: First shot of my second round I shanked my favorite driver into the woods and couldn't find it even after 15 minutes of searching. Good: Decided to play a putter only round instead and set a...

Vibram Discs (don't get caught without your rubber)

Have to echo the positive comments on the VP. I'm an intermediate level beginner. Been playing about a year and a half. Just now starting to flirt with par at my local course (Borderlands w-w). My teebird golf distance is about 290'-300' so I'm no expert. But I find the VP very controllable...

    Foot pain from disc golf

Those are the exact shoe I was using all summer with no problems, and I'll be going back to them as soon as all the snow melts. Awesome for dry weather. The only problem I have with them is mud ... I play on some very hilly and wooded courses and they can be problematic when trying to climb up...

    Foot pain from disc golf

I strained my Tibalis Anterior about two weeks ago. I think the culprit was driving in boots that don't quite fit right ... they are too tight around the front of the ankle which compressed the tendon at the ankle -- limiting its motion -- and resulting in a pull right below and just behind...

    My Wizards Need Some Company

I pair my wizard with a voodoo. Depending on angle and how much snap and air you give it will either hold a nice anny line to the ground or give you a predictable fade at the very end of its flight. I sank my longest ever upshot with my Voodoo on an anny line. One thing I like about it is...

i really wanted to talk more about this 990 rated thing =(

There is no way that this thread can possibly redeem the tragic loss of the other one unless it somehow convinces Jesse B to reinstate his old avatar.

Disc Golf Tips and Technique: Putting with Dan Beato (Video)

I'm definately not an expert ... but here's a Kinesthetic I did to help with finger spring: Hold up your putting hand with all four fingers bunched together ... curl them half way to your palm and bring your thumb over the top of the fingers ... like you were gripping a ... um, pole. You...

Disc Golf Tips and Technique: Putting with Dan Beato (Video)

I think I'm discovering the second half pretty quickly as well. My accuracy has been coming back faster than I expected following the form change. I've been practicing for 1/2 hour a day for three days and I'm already back to 95% at 10' and 80% at 15'. Nothing too stunning but not horribly...

Disc Golf Tips and Technique: Putting with Dan Beato (Video)

Yup. I wasn't getting that with my old form ... exaggerating the short in "short-arm" helped me find it because a very short stroke forces you to focus on acceleration.

    Comet lovers

Sign me up! A comet was one of the first discs I bought. And I hated it. Just dove right every time. A year later this thread inspired me to try it again and I love it. Got two more ESPs coming in the mail today. I pair it with a Roc, but I'm only throwing the Roc on steep hyser lines...

Disc Golf Tips and Technique: Putting with Dan Beato (Video)

I consider putting to be one of the stronger parts of my game. (which isn't saying much) I almost never miss from inside 20'. But I've struggled to stretch my putts to longer distances without resorting to trying to aim an anhyser line in or time the fade. I had thought I was doing a...

    My 7 Disc bag

Missed your post when I was writing my last ... but yeah I now see that the spike hyser is going to be a great new skill to work on. And that is really the reason I decided to switch to a smaller bag: to force myself to learn how to get the most from a limited selection of discs. And I'm not...

    My 7 Disc bag

Hmmm ... I can definately see dropping the Gazelles and relying more on TeeBirds. Especially as they break in more. I just don't agree with you on the need for 3 of 7 being wizards though. If I lost or cracked one wizard I'd just putt with the other (while quietly weeping). I think dropping...

    Powerball Gyroscope

I try mine some more. I can eliminate the clicking with the right smooth motion ... but was having trouble getting it to accelerate. I think I may have been holding it upside down. Is the exposed part of the ball supposed to be facing up or down? And it isn't REI's fault. That's basically...
