Diamond too flippy....Jade too fast....River just right! I've got a 153 Opto (not air) and a 160 GL that are my primary drivers now. I think that the poster who said Rivers were right between Leo and T-bird is right on the money.
I have had a hard time with any of the Axiom/MVP type discs I have tried. Many have been recommended and I now have purchased an Inertia, Crave & Relay. I've not been impressed with any of them. They all seem pretty brick like to me. Very little glide. Generally more overstable than the ratings...
I can probably make adjustments with the 150 Champ Banshee. It still has plenty of LSS. Just been noticing it beginning to turn over a bit more as my FH snap improves.
My new G* 158 is definitely more stable than my Champ 150 but I've had it for awhile so maybe a bit more beat in (if Champ ever really gets beat in ).
Thanks. This is the kind of info I was looking for. What plastic would you suggest for FB?
Also wondering if it would also make sense to just consider a heavier Teebird or Banshee?
The problem is that my shoulder is pretty trashed so I have limited arm speed and keeping disc weight down helps with this issue. However, I have trouble dealing with the wind because of lower weight discs. Wondering if I just need to carry a heavier Teebird for windy days or maybe something...
Today about 15 mph headwind on certain holes. Sometimes I have to deal with more than that. Yesterday it was only around 7-10 mph when the 158 TB was flying into the wind nice and straight.
I'm moving away from 150 g discs as my FH arm speed and snap is improving. I just got a 158 G* Teebird. First time out it worked great for me into a mild headwind. Today the wind on my local course was stronger (which is a very common occurrence) and the Teebird was turning over for me. I'm...
What plastic would you recommend if I were to try out an Underworld? I'm familiar with TP and VIP. Probably would want to go understable (and grippy) as possible since lightest weights seem to be in the upper 160's.
I'm already throwing a 155 G* Leo and have had good results with it. Probably my most consistent disc at this point. I also just got a 158 G* Japan Open Teebird which I'm looking forward to trying out and comparing with my 150 Champ TB.
