I knew a guy that would call them by the sound that the disc made when it hit something. So if a disc hit its first tree and made a thwack sound, that was the discs name.
I have to agree with 4th Rock. I picked up a JLS to try one day and I was pleasantly surprised how well it flew (I was also starting to learn BH at this point in time as you are).
I play with 5 mids. I feel like having one disc for each type of shot helps me since I haven't played for very long.

How about a beat in aviar? Bahahaha
JK, but seriously a Mako would be perfect for this. The only problem that I see for you is the fact it is a tad bit deeper than some other midranges. You could try a buzzz.
I would suggest the Millenium JLS. It feels like it would be a fairway driver, but it flies almost as far as my beast. It has a narrow rim like you said you wanted. It is definitely my go to driver on long narrow shots that require a small amount of fade.
I would have to agree with both the Buzzz and the Roc/Roc3. I also want to add to the conversation a Mako. I just picked one up this past week and I love it. It also fits well between my Fuse (turnover disc) and my Buzzz (straight with some fade). The Mako is dead straight and usually doesn't...

From what I can tell the rims are different. On my San Marino the underside of the rim, where the groove is on a groove, is slightly concave. The other mold does not have that concave.
I don't know the specifics of the molds so it isn't a very descriptive response.
