    Love at first throw?

Prodigy 400s D1. I know Prodigy gets all kinds of hate for reasons I can't quite comprehend, but the first time I threw that disc it went 450 on a prefect hyzer flip, and I immediately made room for several more in my bag. Then I threw it forehand...and it immediately changed my forehand game...

    Best discs you've found

Probably my bottom stamp DX Roc. My buddy actually found it in a lake and just handed it to me and said, "Here, you throw Rocs."

    Most unpopular/uncommon disc you throw?

It gets swapped in and out of my bag depending on where I'm playing, but the Gateway Warrior is a disc I haven't seen anyone else throwing around my area. I actually use it for short forehands most of the time.

    Who will win 2014 Worlds

I think Shusterick has a good shot at it. He's finally getting his game back in order and these courses play to his strengths (distance). Plus he won the Beaver State Fling last year (main course was Milo). Plus, I would just like to see him get back to his old self and give McBeth some serious...

Review by RestonDG in course Miller Park - Lake Nyanza

3.50 star(s) Scenic course, plays around a small lake that is teeming with wildlife. Good signs, good concrete tees, and nice baskets. Several holes where the water is in play adds difficulty. Moderately wooded with mature trees that really grow over and make for some tough lines. Good disc placement is...

Review by RestonDG in course Riverview Park

3.00 star(s) Nice park, seems well kept. Water on a few holes adds difficulty. Good mix of open and wooded holes, mature and young trees make for tight gaps and tough lines. A few holes have a couple different tee pads to add some difficulty. Virtually no change in elevation, and a few of the holes get a bit...

Crappiest Thing to Ever Happen to You on the Course?

Me and my buddy Doug were playing a casual round at Miller Park in Grinnell Iowa. There is a playground there that rarely gets used, but that day there was a family reunion or something at the park, so the playground was busy. We were being as careful as we could, but the basket for hole 3 is...

How many members are in your local disc golf club?

Newton, IA club has around 30 (that's just a guess), but it may be less now. Some people in the club weren't happy about how the league was being run, so they cut out and started their own. I don't think they've had more than 7 or 8 at one time. They were real jerks about it though, playing...

Funniest/weirdest thing you've seen on the course

This past summer I was playing at Maytag with a fella who has some talent, but is prone to make some ridiculous mistakes. We were on hole 11 which runs along a parking lot on the right side. His drive turned over and he landed a few feet away from the parking lot with a tough line to the...

If your wife/Girlfriend/Boyfriend/EX were a disc, how would you describe them?

My ex girlfriend is like a 150g Aviar: the worst choice I've ever made, and I have no idea why I kept it in the bag so long. (Not sure if this part works well in the metaphor, but I see a deep connection.) I got so tired of it I just threw it over a fence and left it there, and when someone...

The shot you're MOST proud of

Might be a tie: First one happened when I was with my father in law. We were at a campground that our church denomination runs that has an 18 hole course on it. It's mostly a pitch and putt course, but at least it was a chance to play disc golf. He decided to come with me to see what all...

    Need a new bag

Hi guys, I'm in the market for a new bag and I could use some expertise. Here are the qualifications that I'm hoping to meet: - Holds at least 20 discs - Backpack straps - Under or close to $100 The best option that I've come up with so far is the combination of the Fade Tourney bag with the...
