I asked only to clarify what I suspected. There is a lot of really good advice on this site and even a smattering of it on these boards  The problem is that when good advice is given a lot of times it is pretty vaugue.
IMO when a disc is thrown and you hear much of anything it was not...
Is that an audible sound that you are talking about? Ie sound as the disc is coming out of the hand?
I am curious becuase I have heard this from some throwers that have 450+ power but I usually dont have any sound when I throw long.
They are the same thing. Torque is defined as rotational force. And yes I slow down the amount of rotation of the disc when I am throwing shorter distances.
I would say more like 361 downhill. And you only got like a 6 on the landing from the Kanolian judge.
For me it is plant on the ball of my foot for shots I am trying to stay on top of I.e straight punch and hyzer shots, for shots where I am trying to get more rotation or TORQUE like...
I would love to see someone try to throw a golf disc without applying torque to it...
Somewhere along the line someone got there wires crossed.

I took torque monkey as a compliment since I do use a lot of it to bomb my 200+ feet drives (MBD) 8)
Me and the red brother surges watch Walker when we aren't at the course.
And to retain some shred of ...
I throw a surge for control distance lines. The disc has the speed and stability to get 85-99% max D with 15-20 feet of height and 25-35 feet of side to side. I like the Surge for the...
I also throw hyzer flip for most shots even mids I use comet for straight shots played hyzer flip to the left I like the comet since it will finish going forward and right (RHBH). Hyzer is the shot I learned to throw and other than putting and rolling I release with a little hyzer.
DRIVE FOR SHOW... PUTT FOR DOUGH!!!
That statement is not an accident. If you can bomb it good for you but I realized last year that way to many of my stories started like this " So I absolutley crushed the drive..." and way to many of them ended with "yea but I missed the putt" Bottom line...
