While it is always good to see another course go up, I wish the money would have been spent to put a course at another location. Other than the first few and last few holes the course feels shoe-horned into the park. It is poorly designed from the standpoint that there are several...
I was at Highbridge all week. The courses were all in great shape minus the ruts on Blueberry #3 and the holes around Gold #8. The ruts really aren't much of a problem. Almost all of the debris from the raves is gone. I only noticed it in 3 places. Bear has been completely mowed.
I played...
I'm not staying on site so I'm not worried about anything other than the courses remain playable, but I am rooting for the place. There are a lot of other things I believe I will enjoy in the area- fishing hiking, wildlife.. So if all goes well and Highbridge keeps it together it is a place I...
Does HBH post a schedule of concerts or tournaments that will be held there? I will be there the 3rd week of Sept and heard there may be a concert before that. Hopefully it won't be the same senario..
I'm really feeling good about heading to Highbridge now. Love Conifer / Pine, especially Bucksnort, but they were all great. If it's a tough call between the two areas I know I'm headed to the right place.
Thanks for the info and opinions. I'm really feeling Highbridge and am pretty set on it at this point. I considered the area around Flip City and Sabattus, ME as well. Going to find a cabin on a lake thats not too far away. DG in the morning and early afternoon, fishing in the evening, maybe...
Should I go to Highbridge?
I've read quite a bit of this thread and there's some interesting history to say the least. I'm looking for a disc golf destination to spend a week in mid to late September. I would not stay at Highbridge, but would spend most days playing there. I'd be flying in...
Found 6 discs over the past 2 weeks as the water has receded here in Florida. Was able to return 4 to the rightful owners. One said "I haven't been down there for two years, keep it". Haven't heard from the 5th.
I was able to play all four courses in the area last week. I am from Florida so playing these mountain courses was a completely different disc golf experience. Having done solo backpacks in WY and CO the last 4 years I have a great love for the mountains and am comfortable in the terrain. The...
No sagging so far. Still a great set up. There is a lot of water at some courses, I use floating discs over longer water carries. I use the collapsible rod and a topwater lure with a large treble on the back to retrieve discs when necessary.
I will be in the Bailey / Pine, CO area the week of 9/14. I talked to Paul Rothley and Monday - Thursday is fairly open. Would be great to play a round with some of you. I love the mountains, I've done quite bit of hiking and backpacking, but never played a mountain course. Let me know if...
